Ofcourse, the main question is: Why?
Well, to be honest, I'm not even sure myself why I'm doing the 101 in 1001 challenge.
I think I realised I wanted to do this when I heard about the 'end of the world in 2012' thing.
I started counting and then realised that the only thing I've really done in life at that time, is go to school. (Which I think is just a little pathetic, don't you agree?)
It's not that I believe in the 'Wooooh we're all gonna die' thing, it just set me thinking.
So I think the anser to the main question is:
I want to do this because I want to live more purposely, I want to experience stuff, even though I'm still young.
Maybe even bécause I'm still young. What's the fun of skinnydipping when you're 50 and your boobs are hangin' down till your knees? Well you get my point there.
I want the tasks to be realistic, the chance that I'll find my dreamjob before the 28th September of 2009 is tiny. The chance that I'll have the money to visit all the continents is just as small, even though I want it so bad.
So I'm trying to find a good balace between 'too easy' and 'unrealistic' because I still want to have to make some effort so I can be proud of myself.
By the way, if you read this - even though I'm not sure whether anyone has seen this blog yet, excluded me - and have a suggestion for my list; Take that second to leave a comment.
Thanks,
Thara.

ReplyDeleteHey, I stumbled upon your list throught the day-zero site.
ReplyDeleteWhat you wrote about the 2012 thingy. I heard about that bout 2 years ago, and even tho I'm a bit..icky about it all.(will something bad happen for real? stuff like that) but it was the same with me as with you! It made me think how when that time would come around I hadn't really acomplished anything.
=)
(also with the goals, I really had to keep reminding myself that it was not, my bucket list. So I didn't need EVERYTHING I'd wanna do on it XD)
I wish you a lot of luck with your list! ^^
